A Freeport man escaped injury on Sunday after someone known to him allegedly opened fire on him following an argument during a lime at the victim’s home.
The 34-year-old, of Nelson Road, Freeport, had reportedly invited family and friends to a lime on August 2.
Police said that at around 4 pm, he began arguing with the suspect, after which he slapped him in the face, leading to a scramble.
The suspect allegedly walked out of the house and returned about ten minutes later with a gun, which he pointed at the victim before firing several shots.
Those gathered sought cover as the suspect fled on foot.
The incident was reported to police who were, up to yesterday, searching for the suspect.
