The Trinidad and Tobago Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has confirmed that a man held with weed in a HDC vehicle this morning, is an employee with the HDC.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the HDC said that it is in receipt of information which indicates that this morning, an employee was stopped on the northbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway, detained and subsequently arrested in relation to the possession of marijuana.
The HDC said that the 36-year-old man, who was driving a company-branded vehicle at the time, has been employed with the HDC since 2011.
It said that this incident has led the corporation to review its policies and procedures at this time and is giving the commitment that it will cooperate with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service during the course of their investigation.
