The Po­lice Ser­vice Com­mis­sion has de­liv­ered the name of the per­son who ranked the high­est on its mer­it list for the po­si­tion of Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice to the Of­fice of the Pres­i­dent.

Guardian Me­dia was in­formed the mer­it list and an ac­com­pa­ny­ing let­ter were de­liv­ered to Pres­i­dent's House on Mon­day.

An of­fi­cial from the Of­fice of the Pres­i­dent con­firmed that the list was de­liv­ered.

The of­fi­cial told Guardian Me­dia that the no­ti­fi­ca­tion was signed by Pres­i­dent Paula Mae Weekes and the list was then sent to the Par­lia­ment.
