West Indies cricket legend Brian Lara is being treated at the Global Hospital in Parel, Mumbai, India. While hospital authorities refused to divulge any information, sources said he was admitted after complaining of chest pain.
The 50-year-old former international cricket star was taken to the hospital at 12.30 pm (Mumbai time( and medical investigations were started immediately. Sources said he was at a promotional event in a nearby hotel when he fell ill.
Lara is in India working for broadcaster Star Sports the official broadcaster there for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. He is one of Star Sports’ experts for the World Cup.
