De­fence at­tor­ney An­ton Gran­tum, was grant­ed $90,000 bail yes­ter­day af­ter he ap­peared in court charged with pos­ses­sion of a gun and am­mu­ni­tion.

Gran­tum, who was rep­re­sent­ed by Tara­dath Singh, was ar­rest­ed on Sat­ur­day dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise.

Gran­tum, 31, ap­peared vir­tu­al­ly be­fore charged with two counts of pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion and one count of pos­ses­sion of a firearm.

Gran­tum, 31, ap­peared vir­tu­al­ly be­fore Ch­agua­nas Mag­is­trate Maris­sa Gomez, and was not called on to plead.

As part of his bail con­di­tion of his bail, Gran­tum was or­dered to re­port to the Ch­agua­nas Po­lice Sta­tion on the first Sat­ur­day of each month. He will re-ap­pear in court on No­vem­ber 4.

It is al­leged that 11 rounds of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion were al­leged­ly found at Gran­tum’s Julie Man­go Dri­ve, Wood­ford Gar­dens home.

Po­lice re­port­ed­ly found the am­mu­ni­tion in­side a trans­par­ent bag wrapped with­in a black plas­tic bag. The of­fi­cers then searched his Ram­saran Street, Ch­agua­nas, law of­fice and re­port­ed­ly found a black Sig Sauer P290 pis­tol with a fit­ted mag­a­zine con­tain­ing 13 rounds of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion.

The weapon was al­leged­ly found hid­den in­side a com­part­ment of a desk. —Jensen La Vende
