Art lovers gath­ered yes­ter­day to ho­n­our artist LeRoy Clarke on his 80th birth­day—and in mem­o­ry of his moth­er, Ellen Clarke.

Ti­tled "Ellen's Leroy's Say­ings Say...Sea­sons Vi­cis­si­tudes," the ex­hi­bi­tion show­cased at 101 Art Gallery, Wood­ford Street, New­town, and fea­tures 51 pieces of Clarke's works dur­ing the years.

The ex­hi­bi­tion, which runs from De­cem­ber 8 to 19, qual­i­fies for the tax in­cen­tive where­by cor­po­rate pur­chasers may claim the ex­pense at 100 per cent in the year of ex­pen­di­ture.
