A D’Abadie man has ap­peared be­fore an Ari­ma Mag­is­trate charged with the mur­der of Krys­tal Long, which oc­curred on Sep­tem­ber 9th 2022.

Ja­son Clarke, aka ‘Spade’, 39, of Mau­si­ca Road, was charged with the of­fence when he ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate In­dar Ja­groop, in the Ari­ma Mag­is­trates’ Court on Thurs­day 6th Oc­to­ber, 2022.

The mat­ter was ad­journed to No­vem­ber 3rd, 2022.

Long, 37, of San­ta Rosa Heights, was found by first re­spon­ders ly­ing life­less on the ground in a struc­ture at Cre­sent Gar­dens, Mau­si­ca, Ari­ma, on Fri­day 9th Sep­tem­ber, 2022. An au­top­sy re­vealed the vic­tim died due to mul­ti­ple blunt force in­juries to the body.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to the in­ci­dent re­sult­ed in the sub­se­quent ar­rest of one male sus­pect.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions were su­per­vised by ASP Dou­glas, In­sp. Ram­jag, W/In­sp. Sylvester and Sgt. Rad­haykissoon, all of the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions (HBI), Re­gion Two.

Clarke was charged on Thurs­day 6th Oc­to­ber, 2022, by of­fi­cers of HBI Re­gion Two, fol­low­ing ad­vice re­ceived from Deputy Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions, George Bus­by, on the same date.
