Junior Dexter Peters, 51, appeared before Port-of-Spain Magistrate Maureen Baboolal Gafoor today charged with two counts of attempted buggery and sexual indecency.
Peters was however denied bail because of previous convictions related to marijuana possession and cruelty to animals.
Peters, a former employee at St Dominic's Children's Home, is still expected to be charged with three other offences this weekend.
He appeared virtually from the Besson Street ID parade room
Peters will remain in custody until September 9.
He was arrested at the St Ann's Hospital last Friday by Sgt Baptiste and Woman Corporal Deonarine of the Child Protection Unit
