Ju­nior Dex­ter Pe­ters, 51, ap­peared be­fore Port-of-Spain Mag­is­trate Mau­reen Ba­boolal Gafoor to­day charged with two counts of at­tempt­ed bug­gery and sex­u­al in­de­cen­cy. 

Pe­ters was how­ev­er de­nied bail be­cause of pre­vi­ous con­vic­tions re­lat­ed to mar­i­jua­na pos­ses­sion and cru­el­ty to an­i­mals. 

Pe­ters, a for­mer em­ploy­ee at St Do­minic's Chil­dren's Home, is still ex­pect­ed to be charged with three oth­er of­fences this week­end. 

He ap­peared vir­tu­al­ly from the Besson Street ID pa­rade room 

Pe­ters will re­main in cus­tody un­til Sep­tem­ber 9. 

He was ar­rest­ed at the St Ann's Hos­pi­tal last Fri­day by Sgt Bap­tiste and Woman Cor­po­ral De­onar­ine of the Child Pro­tec­tion Unit
