Man charged with buggery of boy, 12

Po­lice have charged a man in con­nec­tion with the al­leged bug­gery of a 12-year-old school­boy in To­ba­go.

Ju­nior Gor­don ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Bri­an De­bideen in the Scar­bor­ough Sec­ond Mag­is­trate’s Court yes­ter­day charged with the of­fence.

The court heard that the ac­cused was held on Wednes­day af­ter­noon af­ter the boy’s moth­er made a re­port to the po­lice.

The in­ci­dent is al­leged to have oc­curred at the boy’s home while his moth­er had gone to Scar­bor­ough to pur­chase din­ner for her chil­dren.

The woman sub­se­quent­ly took her son to the po­lice sta­tion and re­port­ed the in­ci­dent. She was sub­se­quent­ly sent to the Scar­bor­ough Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where her son was ex­am­ined.

Gor­don was sub­se­quent­ly grant­ed $200,000 bail.

Su­per­in­ten­dent Sharon Blake-Clarke yes­ter­day told Guardian Me­dia that the po­lice are still look­ing in­to the mat­ter.
