Police have charged a man in connection with the alleged buggery of a 12-year-old schoolboy in Tobago.
Junior Gordon appeared before Magistrate Brian Debideen in the Scarborough Second Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged with the offence.
The court heard that the accused was held on Wednesday afternoon after the boy’s mother made a report to the police.
The incident is alleged to have occurred at the boy’s home while his mother had gone to Scarborough to purchase dinner for her children.
The woman subsequently took her son to the police station and reported the incident. She was subsequently sent to the Scarborough General Hospital where her son was examined.
Gordon was subsequently granted $200,000 bail.
Superintendent Sharon Blake-Clarke yesterday told Guardian Media that the police are still looking into the matter.
