An autopsy on the body of Curtis Frontin, which was found floating in the L’Anse Mitan River, Moruga, on Monday, has revealed he died from a haemorrhagic stroke.
The result ended speculation that Frontin, 60, of Rancho Quemado, Palo Seco, had been murdered and dumped in the river. Homicide investigators suspect that he was near the river on a boat when he suffered a stroke and fell into the water.
According to reports, someone contacted Moruga police around 11am Monday saying that a body was floating near the river’s mouth. When officers arrived they found the body in the water, clad in a plaid T-Shirt and blue short pants. Frontin was later identified by villagers who said he had been staying in the area for the past few months.
