Man found shot dead in Ste Madeleine

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a mur­der in South Trinidad, but up to late yes­ter­day evening, the vic­tim had not been iden­ti­fied.

Po­lice said around 6 am yes­ter­day, a 63-year-old man was on his way to his gar­den at Sug­ar Es­tate Road, Ste Madeleine when he saw a man ly­ing mo­tion­less on the road­way.

Af­ter he con­tact­ed Ste Madeleine Po­lice, Cpl Sookdeo,  WPC James and PC Ketroy re­spond­ed and saw the man of East In­di­an de­scent, light skin, and slim build, wear­ing a blue long-sleeve jer­sey, blue long jeans, Calvin Klein box­ers with green and red belt and white sneak­ers ly­ing on the road­way. The man had the tat­too: “God is Love” on his right wrist. There was no form of iden­ti­fi­ca­tion on him.

Po­lice re­alised the man had been shot sev­er­al times.

Ag In­sp Ram­sar­ran, Sgt Charles, and Sgt Elvin vis­it­ed the scene and or­dered a search of the area. How­ev­er, they found no sus­pects or leads.
