Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mur­der of a man in La Hor­quet­ta on Sun­day night.

Re­ports are that po­lice of­fi­cers were on pa­trol around 10:20 pm on Sun­day, when they re­ceived a re­port of a man ly­ing on the street along De Fre­itas Boule­vard, near the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) sta­tion.

When they ar­rived, they found the body of a man with gun­shot wounds to his head.

A dis­trict med­ical of­fi­cer was called in and de­clared the man dead.

Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors al­so vis­it­ed the scene and found a spent .40 cal­i­bre shell, a live round of .40 cal­i­bre am­mu­ni­tion, and a de­formed bul­let.

Po­lice said the man is known on­ly as “Shorto”.

Of­fi­cers of the Re­gion II Homi­cide Bu­reau are con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
