A 42-year-old man, who was stabbed in the neck with a bro­ken piece of glass dur­ing a fight in St Anns on Thurs­day, has died.
Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, at about 1 pm Mar­lon Joseph was at­tacked by an­oth­er man while at Ari­api­ta Road in St Anns. Po­lice said Joseph was stabbed in the neck, while an­oth­er man, who at­tempt­ed to part the fight was al­so stabbed in the arm.
Joseph was tak­en to the Port of Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, where he lat­er died while un­der­go­ing treat­ment. The oth­er man was treat­ed and dis­charged.
The sus­pect was sub­se­quent­ly ar­rest­ed and tak­en in­to po­lice cus­tody for ques­tion­ing.
