An uniden­ti­fied man from Arou­ca was killed while at­tempt­ing to cross the Churchill Roo­sevelt High­way on Sun­day night.
Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, at about 10.20 pm, a white Volk­swa­gen Jet­ta was pro­ceed­ing in a west­er­ly di­rec­tion along the high­way when it struck a man, who was at­tempt­ing to cross the high­way just af­ter the Curepe in­ter­change.
Po­lice said up­on im­pact the man went through the front wind­screen and ex­it­ed the rear wind­screen of the car, which was dri­ven by a 28-year-old man.
Po­lice said the vic­tim was then run over by sev­er­al oth­er ve­hi­cles caus­ing the body to be dis­mem­bered.
Po­lice said man’s dis­mem­bered body made it im­pos­si­ble for iden­ti­fi­ca­tion.
The re­mains were sent to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre, pend­ing iden­ti­fi­ca­tion and an au­top­sy.
