An unidentified man from Arouca was killed while attempting to cross the Churchill Roosevelt Highway on Sunday night.
According to police reports, at about 10.20 pm, a white Volkswagen Jetta was proceeding in a westerly direction along the highway when it struck a man, who was attempting to cross the highway just after the Curepe interchange.
Police said upon impact the man went through the front windscreen and exited the rear windscreen of the car, which was driven by a 28-year-old man.
Police said the victim was then run over by several other vehicles causing the body to be dismembered.
Police said man’s dismembered body made it impossible for identification.
