Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the theft of a handy­man’s gold ring from a wash­room at the St James Po­lice Train­ing Acad­e­my ear­ly on Tues­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said the man went to the wash­room in one of the build­ings and placed the ring on a ta­ble next to the sink.

He re­port­ed­ly for­got to pick it up be­fore leav­ing, but re­turned short­ly af­ter.

How­ev­er, when he reached the wash­room, he re­alised it was miss­ing.

Of­fi­cers of the Port of Spain CID vis­it­ed the scene and in­ter­viewed sev­er­al peo­ple as part of the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Sources con­firmed that se­cu­ri­ty cam­era footage has al­so been re­quest­ed.
