A 26-year-old Marabella man appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate yesterday charged with the murder of 43-year-old Damien Howe, on November 14, 2019.
Jamal Butcher, also known as ‘Brown’, of Bayshore, Marabella, appeared before Senior Magistrate Jo-Anne Connor, at the San Fernando First Magistrates Court, charged with murder, following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Joan Honore-Paul.
The matter was adjourned to Monday 10th February.
Howe was at his Kitchener Street, Marabella home around 5:15 am on Thursday 14th November 2019, when two armed men entered and shot the victim several times about the body.
The assailants then escaped through the front door of the house.
Investigations were supervised by Insp (Ag.) Daryl Corrie, Insp (Ag.) Allistair Jones and Sgt. Ramjag all of Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region 3, while Butcher was charged by PC Rahim, also of HBI Region 3, on Monday 13th January 2020.
