More seats will be provided at the North Park for today’s Panorama finals. The controversial North Park, which has replaced the popular North Stand, garnered mixed to negative reviews during the semifinals two weeks ago.
President of Pan Trinbago Beverley Ramsey-Moore said "We expect some chairs will be put in the North Park so our patrons can be seated comfortably. We expect that there will be proper seating at the North Park for our patrons."
Apart from that adjustment, Ramsey-Moore said everything was already in place for the event.
"Yes, everything is in order. Yesterday (Thursday) we came off of the small band finals in San Fernando and everything went well. So now we look forward to a dynamic Panorama final for the medium and large bands on Saturday evening," said Ramsey-Moore.
The Pan Trinbago President believes the event will be an exciting one for patrons.
All eyes will be on defending champs BP Renegades, who topped the semifinals. Exodus' decision to change their tune to Kees' Savannah Grass after the semifinal round has also been a source of intrigue.
"I have not had any complaints from any band. What I do know, it is going to be a show out of this world based on the requests of steelbands asking for the various dynamics," said Moore who explained that many bands were asking about the use of pyrotechnics and other stage props for the event.
She hoped these additions would not cause major delays "just as we would have done in the semifinals, to have a smooth execution. To have the bands set up much faster so that we don't have to go until 3 O'clock in the morning. I am hoping that at least by 1:30 the show should be completed", said Ramsey-Moore.
