The man who was killed in a shoot­ing on Pin­to Main Road, San­ta Rosa, Ari­ma, on Mon­day has been iden­ti­fied as Ker­lon Joseph.

The 22-year-old, of Mau­si­ca Main Road, was shot mul­ti­ple times around 2.35 pm on Oc­to­ber 13.

The vic­tim had al­leged­ly been seat­ed in a garage in the area when gun­shots rang out. As the oc­cu­pants of the house rushed out­side, they found Joseph slumped over, bleed­ing from gun­shot wounds.

Of­fi­cers from the Pin­to Po­lice Post re­spond­ed and rushed the in­jured man to the Ari­ma Health Fa­cil­i­ty, where he re­ceived treat­ment but lat­er died.

Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors as­signed to the Spe­cial­ist Ev­i­dence Re­cov­ery Unit (SERU) processed the scene, re­cov­er­ing sev­en spent 9 mm shell cas­ings and a black mask.

In a sep­a­rate up­date re­gard­ing the bul­let-rid­dled body of a man found in an idling SUV at Thun­der Hill, Sou Sou Lands, San Juan, on Oc­to­ber 12, the vic­tim has been iden­ti­fied as Mark Sturge, 29, of Can­taro Vil­lage, San­ta Cruz.

His body was found in the dri­ver’s seat of a white Suzu­ki Vi­tara, with the en­gine still run­ning. Res­i­dents re­port­ed hear­ing gun­shots on Oc­to­ber 11 but said it was not un­com­mon in the area, so they did not ven­ture out to in­ves­ti­gate.
