The man who was killed in a shooting on Pinto Main Road, Santa Rosa, Arima, on Monday has been identified as Kerlon Joseph.
The 22-year-old, of Mausica Main Road, was shot multiple times around 2.35 pm on October 13.
The victim had allegedly been seated in a garage in the area when gunshots rang out. As the occupants of the house rushed outside, they found Joseph slumped over, bleeding from gunshot wounds.
Officers from the Pinto Police Post responded and rushed the injured man to the Arima Health Facility, where he received treatment but later died.
Crime Scene Investigators assigned to the Specialist Evidence Recovery Unit (SERU) processed the scene, recovering seven spent 9 mm shell casings and a black mask.
In a separate update regarding the bullet-riddled body of a man found in an idling SUV at Thunder Hill, Sou Sou Lands, San Juan, on October 12, the victim has been identified as Mark Sturge, 29, of Cantaro Village, Santa Cruz.
His body was found in the driver’s seat of a white Suzuki Vitara, with the engine still running. Residents reported hearing gunshots on October 11 but said it was not uncommon in the area, so they did not venture out to investigate.
