Customers in parts of south-east Trinidad will be without pipe-borne water on Friday as the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) carries out planned mechanical repairs at the Navet Water Treatment Plant.
The disruption will take place between 8 am and 12 noon.
Areas to be affected include Princes Town, Manahambre, Iere Village, Tableland, Robert Village, George Village, Libertville, San Pedro, Clearwater, Rio Claro, Deep Ravine, Mayaro, Ecclesville, Cunapo Southern Main Road, Plum Mitan, Rio Claro Tabaquite Road, Tabaquite, Williamsville, Piparo, New Grant, Hindustan, Whiteland, Hardbargain, Buen Intento, Malgretoute, Matilda, St Julien, Indian Walk, Barrackpore, Cumuto, Borde Narve, St Mary’s Village, Moruga and Penal Rock Road.
WASA said it may take up to 24 hours for supply to normalise in some areas once the work is complete.
A limited truck-borne supply will be available and can be requested through the customer portal on WASA’s website or by calling the authority’s toll-free hotline at 800-4420 or 800-4426.
