The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers served by the Valsayn A Booster Station that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply tomorrow between the hours of 8 am to midnight.
The authority said this has become necessary in order to facilitate emergency repairs to a leaking 30 inch diameter transmission main, along the Eastern Main Road, St. Joseph, in the vicinity of Hutton Road.
Affected areas include:
Along the Eastern Main Road from St. Joseph to Aranguez Main Road, San Juan including Champs Fleurs, Mt. Hope, Mt. Lambert and Petit Bourg; Lower and Upper Santa Cruz including Homestead Gardens, Pax Vale, Pipiol Road, Sam Boucaud Gardens and environs.
WASA is also advising that it may take up to 12 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water service to normalize to some areas following the completion of repair works.
Motorists are also advised to proceed with caution when approaching the job site and obey the directions of the police officer on duty.
For further information or assistance customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.
The authority has apologised for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
