One person has been arrested, and a firearm and ammunition recovered during an anti-crime exercise in the Point Fortin district by officers of the South Western Division.
The exercise was conducted between 12:30am and 5:30am, today, Monday 29th June 2020.
The exercise was spearheaded by Ag Sgt Pamphille and supervised by Ag Cpl Bedasie, and conducted by officers of Northern Division Task Force and PC Joseph of the Malabar Police Station.
According to official police reports, during the exercise, the officers conducted a search at a house on Warren Road, Point Fortin, where they found one black and gold MAC 10 firearm fitted with one magazine containing 14 rounds 9mm ammunition.
One suspect was arrested.
Investigations are continuing.
