Po­lice were last night prob­ing the killing of a 27-year-old man who was shot at East Dry Riv­er, Port-of-Spain.

An­oth­er man was al­so in­jured in the at­tack.

The in­ci­dent took place around 5.57 pm and the vic­tim has been iden­ti­fied as Kaz­im Ab­dul of North West Dri­ve, Diego Mar­tin.

A re­port said Ab­dul was ap­proach­ing his booth at the Drag Broth­er's Mall on Pic­cadil­ly Street when he was ap­proached by two armed sus­pects.

The sus­pects re­port­ed­ly fired sev­er­al shots hit­ting him in the ab­domen.

The re­port said Ab­dul ran to the near­by Besson Street Po­lice Sta­tion af­ter which he was tak­en to the Port hos­pi­tal.

Po­lice said the oth­er vic­tim, iden­ti­fied as Glen Bousi­gac, was near the mall and about to en­ter his ve­hi­cle af­ter mak­ing a pur­chase at a near­by shop.

He was was shot in his head by the two sus­pects. Bousi­gac was al­so tak­en to hos­pi­tal by the po­lice where he re­mained ward­ed last night.

Po­lice said in­for­ma­tion re­vealed that both sus­pects es­caped the crime scene through the back of the mall.

Po­lice of­fi­cers checked the im­me­di­ate area but the sus­pects were not found.

Al­so vis­it­ing the scene were In­sp Sood­een, Inps Sook­lals­ingh, act­ing In­sp Knott and act­ing Sgt Matthew.
