The Patriotic Front (PF) is yet to decide whether it will throw its support behind other political parties contesting the upcoming General Election.

Just yesterday the party’s political leader Mickela Panday announced their exit from the race, citing time and finances as the issues.

Panday says at this stage, the party is monitoring all political forces.

“I don’t know if it’s the Patriotic Front’s position to look at others and say if there’s a viable option,” she told Guardian Media, “but one of the reasons we were contesting is because we did not think so.”

She added: “I would like to see what the others are saying. I would like to hear a little bit about their policies like the rest of Trinidad and Tobago, as opposed to mudslinging and copious amounts of allegations of corruption.”

Mickela Panday says even though the party is not contesting the General Election on August 10th, its members will remain active on the ground.
