A pensioner who returned to a car wash in Gasparillo expecting to find his vehicle sparkling clean, was left stunned when he discovered it was missing.
Police said on Monday around 11 am, the 71-year-old man left his White Nissan Caravan Panel Van, valued at $70,000, at a car wash on Railway Road, Reform Village near the Feed Depot.
He left the keys with the owner. When he returned three hours later, his van was missing.
According to the police report, the owner of the business indicated that she left the keys on the stairs and had no idea who took the pensioner’s vehicle.
