Police arrested one man and seized a home-made firearm and one round of ammunition during an anti-crime exercise, in La Horquetta yesterday.
According to police reports, officers conducted the exercise, between 4 pm and 8 pm, on February 12th during which they executed several search warrants.
One search at the La Horquetta home of a 31-year-old man resulted in officers finding a home-made firearm adapted to carry 7.62 ammunition and one round of 7.62 ammunition. Investigations are ongoing.
The exercise, spearheaded by Supt. Edwards, ASP Coggins and Insp. Pitt, included officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Air Guard and Canine Unit.
