Homicide investigators have not yet confirmed where two severed arms that were found in Mausica last week came from.
Last Thursday, Arima police were called to the corner of the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway and Mausica Road, South, where two severed human arms were found.
Police said the homicide detectives were working with officers of the Southern Division and the Anti-Kidnapping Unit to try and identify who the severed limbs belonged to.
Sources said a man who was in custody for an unrelated offence may be able to assist with tracing the origin of the body parts.
One source said investigators were hoping to follow certain channels to understand where the severed arms came from.
