Police have destroyed a quantity of marijuana they discovered in a camp in Salybia.
The exercise was done by officers of the Eastern Division, yesterday.
Acting on intelligence, officers led by Cpl Ramnarine of the Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department, proceeded to conduct a search of a bushy area off Salybia Road, on Monday 15th July 2019.
There, the officers discovered 100 fully grown marijuana trees and eight kilogrammes of dried marijuana.
The drug, which has an estimated street value of $80,000 was destroyed.
PC Singh is continuing enquiries into the discovery.
