The Police Service says it will be extending its courtesy to the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha, by providing a marked police escort during the funeral of its late Secretary-General, Satnarayan Maharaj, which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
A statement by the Police Service says that officers of the Northern Division will be performing a duty of care by preserving order at the wake and that a Highway Patrol Unit will provide the escort along the planned route to the funeral service and subsequently to the cremation site in Caroni.
The funeral service begins at 9 am on Tuesday.
