The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice has ex­pand­ed Op­er­a­tion Fes­tive Shield to the Cen­tral and South­ern Di­vi­sions, fol­low­ing Tues­day’s launch in Port of Spain and the West­ern Di­vi­sion.

The ini­tia­tive brings full po­lice re­sources to key com­mer­cial, res­i­den­tial, and in­dus­tri­al ar­eas as part of a co­or­di­nat­ed na­tion­wide ef­fort to en­hance safe­ty dur­ing the Christ­mas and Car­ni­val 2026 sea­son.

Yes­ter­day’s ex­er­cise in Princes Town fo­cused on crime pre­ven­tion and traf­fic man­age­ment in busy ar­eas, in­clud­ing High Street, Cacique Street, and Bo­nan­za Street. Of­fi­cers dis­trib­uted safe­ty tips and fly­ers to busi­ness own­ers, pedes­tri­ans, and res­i­dents to help de­ter of­fences such as lar­ce­ny and pet­ty theft.

Deputy Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice (Op­er­a­tions) Suzette Mar­tin said the op­er­a­tion pro­vides uni­form na­tion­al cov­er­age un­der one co­or­di­nat­ed frame­work to pro­tect cit­i­zens, busi­ness­es, and vis­i­tors.
