The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has expanded Operation Festive Shield to the Central and Southern Divisions, following Tuesday’s launch in Port of Spain and the Western Division.
The initiative brings full police resources to key commercial, residential, and industrial areas as part of a coordinated nationwide effort to enhance safety during the Christmas and Carnival 2026 season.
Yesterday’s exercise in Princes Town focused on crime prevention and traffic management in busy areas, including High Street, Cacique Street, and Bonanza Street. Officers distributed safety tips and flyers to business owners, pedestrians, and residents to help deter offences such as larceny and petty theft.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Suzette Martin said the operation provides uniform national coverage under one coordinated framework to protect citizens, businesses, and visitors.
