A po­lice of­fi­cer at­tached to the Diego Mar­tin Mu­nic­i­pal Cor­po­ra­tion who lives in St Au­gus­tine had her car stolen from out­side her home be­tween Sep­tem­ber 16 and 17, which con­tained her po­lice badge and gov­ern­ment-is­sued items that form part of her uni­form.

The 30-year-old woman of St John’s Road parked and locked her car out­side her apart­ment build­ing around 10.30 pm on Sep­tem­ber 16, be­fore she went to bed.

She emerged around 11.15 am on Sep­tem­ber 17 to find the Toy­ota Axio miss­ing.

The of­fi­cer lat­er re­port­ed sev­er­al items in­clud­ing one bul­let­proof vest, one po­lice hat, one ba­ton, one hol­ster, one tac­ti­cal jack­et and her po­lice ID card and badge miss­ing.
