Police are searching for a Hispanic woman who was kidnapped during a home invasion in La Romaine on Sunday.
She has been identified as Maria.
An initial police report stated that around 3.30 am, Maria was accosted by two masked men as she returned to her home on Hector Street and was opening the front door.
The suspects announced a robbery and forced her into the house, where another occupant, a 29-year-old Hispanic woman, was asleep.
The two women were tied up while the suspects ransacked the house and stole $8,000, an iPhone 13 Pro and a Samsung cellular phone.
The suspects then took Maria against her will and left in an unknown direction.
Officers of the Southern Division responded, while the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Homicide Bureau and Cyber Crime Unit were also informed.
Up to late yesterday, there had been no ransom demand.
PC Phagoo of the San Fernando CID is investigating.
