Tobago police have recovered another illegal firearm following a shooting in Courland, Black Rock, yesterday.
Senior Superintendent Earl Elie told Guardian Media that a man from Arnos Vale Road, Plymouth, was at work when a gunman dressed in black approached and fired at him before escaping through nearby bushes.
Officers later intercepted a silver Nissan Note in the Black Rock area and arrested a man matching the shooter’s description. Police seized a Glock pistol from the vehicle.
They also searched the suspect’s home in Plymouth, where they found several rounds of 9mm ammunition.
The suspect remains in custody at the Shirvan Road Police Station and is expected to be charged soon.
