Tobago Police have recovered a firearm and ammuntion following an excercise conducted on Monday morning.
Between 5 am and 9 am, Ag Sgt. Hernandez and other officers from the Tobago Task Force conducted an exercise in the Mary's Hill area, where searches were carried out. While on mobile patrol, police received information and searched an area in Mary's Hill which had previously been locked down by the police. They found a Smith and Wesson .38 revolver loaded with three live rounds of ammunition and three spent shells. The serial number on the gun was filed off.
No one was held in connection with the find. However one man was arrested during the excercise on an outstanding warrant.
This brings to six the number of guns recovered in Tobago for 2019.
Investigations are continuing.
