An al­leged ar­gu­ment over mar­i­jua­na turned dead­ly for a Port-of-Spain man yes­ter­day morn­ing, af­ter he was stabbed mul­ti­ple times and left to die on the Bri­an Lara Prom­e­nade.

Po­lice iden­ti­fied the vic­tim as Brad Guer­ra of Ox­ford Street, Port-of-Spain.

He lat­er died at the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal whilst un­der­go­ing emer­gency treat­ment.

Of­fi­cers said Guer­ra and the sus­pect were em­broiled in an ar­gu­ment around 2.15 am on No­vem­ber 12, when the sus­pect re­port­ed­ly pulled out a knife and stabbed Guer­ra sev­er­al times in the chest be­fore run­ning off.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred along the Bri­an Lara Prom­e­nade, oblique­ly op­po­site KFC.

Of­fi­cers of the In­ter Agency Task Force were on pa­trol when they re­ceived in­for­ma­tion and ar­rived to find the bare-backed Guer­ra ly­ing on the ground bleed­ing.

The of­fi­cers took him to the hos­pi­tal, where doc­tors at­tempt­ed to re­vive him, but were un­suc­cess­ful.

Of­fi­cers are search­ing for the sus­pect.
