An alleged argument over marijuana turned deadly for a Port-of-Spain man yesterday morning, after he was stabbed multiple times and left to die on the Brian Lara Promenade.
Police identified the victim as Brad Guerra of Oxford Street, Port-of-Spain.
He later died at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital whilst undergoing emergency treatment.
Officers said Guerra and the suspect were embroiled in an argument around 2.15 am on November 12, when the suspect reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Guerra several times in the chest before running off.
The incident occurred along the Brian Lara Promenade, obliquely opposite KFC.
Officers of the Inter Agency Task Force were on patrol when they received information and arrived to find the bare-backed Guerra lying on the ground bleeding.
The officers took him to the hospital, where doctors attempted to revive him, but were unsuccessful.
Officers are searching for the suspect.
