A 38-year-old man charged in con­nec­tion with a shoot­ing in­ci­dent in Princes Town was grant­ed bail with sure­ty in the sum of $75,000 when he ap­peared be­fore the South B-1 Mas­ter’s Court on Tues­day.

Mar­lon Pope, of Tem­ple Street, Cal­i­for­nia, was ar­rest­ed fol­low­ing con­tin­ued in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to a re­port of shoot­ing with in­tent made on Au­gust 13 at Man­a­ham­bre Road, Princes Town.

Pope was sub­se­quent­ly charged with shoot­ing with in­tent and dis­charg­ing a firearm with­in 40 me­tres of a pub­lic road.

The charges were brought be­fore Mas­ter Guer­ra-Abra­ham on Tues­day and re­mained as laid.

Pope was grant­ed bail with sure­ty in the sum of $75,000.

A sta­tus hear­ing has been sched­uled for Jan­u­ary 20, 2027.

The in­ves­ti­ga­tion was con­duct­ed by PC Chaitram.

Po­lice said the ar­rest fol­lowed con­tin­ued en­quiries in­to the shoot­ing re­port. No fur­ther de­tails about the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing the in­ci­dent were pro­vid­ed.

The al­le­ga­tions against Pope have not been test­ed in court. He re­mains be­fore the court as the mat­ter pro­ceeds.
