Sal­vager, Mr. David Charles suc­cumbed this morn­ing to in­juries he sus­tained on the af­ter­noon of Fri­day 24th, June. He was ac­ci­den­tal­ly crushed by a D8 trac­tor that was com­pact­ing an area with­in the tip­ping vicin­i­ty of the For­res Park land­fill.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are cur­rent­ly un­der­way by the Trinidad & To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice in­to the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing a fa­tal ac­ci­dent at the For­res Park Land­fill on Fri­day 24th, June at ap­prox­i­mate­ly 2:30pm.

SWM­COL has been ad­vised that Sal­vager, Mr. David Charles suc­cumbed this morn­ing to in­juries he sus­tained on the af­ter­noon of Fri­day 24th, June. Pre­lim­i­nary re­ports in­di­cate that Mr. Charles was ac­ci­den­tal­ly crushed by a D8 trac­tor that was com­pact­ing an area with­in the tip­ping vicin­i­ty of the land­fill. 

SWM­COL’s CEO, Mr. Kevin Thomp­son ex­pressed, “This trag­ic loss of life deeply sad­dens SWM­COL.  On be­half of the Board of Di­rec­tors, Man­age­ment, and Staff of SWM­COL, I wish to ex­tend our prayers and sin­cere con­do­lences to the fam­i­ly, friends, and loved ones of the de­ceased.”
