Po­lice shot and killed a man on Thurs­day morn­ing in San­ta Cruz.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred hours af­ter a Laven­tille man died af­ter be­ing shot by of­fi­cers on Wednes­day night.

Po­lice said Aaron Ben­jamin, al­so known as Se­quea, 31, of Pe­tit Cu­ra­caye, San­ta Cruz, was shot and killed dur­ing an an­ti-crime op­er­a­tion on Thurs­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said around 6 am, of­fi­cers ex­e­cut­ed a search at Ben­jamin’s home un­der the Emer­gency Reg­u­la­tions 2025. When they en­tered the house, they said, Ben­jamin jumped up from a couch and point­ed a black met­al ob­ject at them. Shots were fired, and he col­lapsed.

Ben­jamin was tak­en by of­fi­cers to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, where he died while be­ing treat­ed.
