Seven persons were arrested in Crown Point, Tobago, for breaching the COVID-19 social distance rules on Saturday morning as they tried to register at DSS Tobago, Shepherds Inn, Old Store Bay Road, Crown Point.
This is according to a senior police official at the scene this morning.
A senior female officer instructed to speak to Guardian Media by the officer in charge of the police operations -Senior Superintendent Simon, said the persons had broken the law COVID-19 rules.
” They were not social distancing, and we took action,” she told Guardian Media.
At noon, the officer told Guardian Media the police stopped registration at 10:30 am.
Asked if it was the end of registration for the day, she said, “it depends on how things are going.”
DSS Tobago was formally launched in Tobago today (Saturday, October 17, 2020).
