Seven people have been detained by police during another Operation Strike Back exercise in the Northern Division over the last 24 hours.
Police said the raid, which began on Thursday, ended late yesterday.
During the exercise, officers conducted several searches and executed warrants in the Maloney, Malabar, La Horquetta and St.
Joseph police districts.
This resulted in the arrests of seven men; one for possession of a firearm and ammunition; three for possession of narcotics, one for obstructing a police officer and the last for enquiries into a house breaking incident.
Officers also issued 50 fixed penalty notices and wrecked 11 vehicles for various traffic offences.
A shotgun and a quantity of ammunition have been discovered by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Sea Lots area.
The Police Service said PC Joseph along with a party of officers attached to IATF Strike Team and Special Ops, carried out a search of an unsecured, unfinished concrete structure at Production Avenue, Sea Lots.
The search led to one 12-gauge shotgun and a plastic bag filled with four rounds of 12-gauge ammunition.
PC Karamthasingh will be continuing enquiries into the matter.
