Current emergency repairs at the Siparia Water Treatment Plant have left hundreds of customers served by the Plant with a disruption in their water supply. However, relief may be in sight as early as Friday night.
That’s according to an advisory issued by the Water and Sewerage Authority today, which explains the service disruption is because of a downhole issue affecting the Siparia Well #5.
“Repair works are currently underway and are expected to be completed by 8:00 pm, Friday 21 October 2022,” WASA assures in its advisory. “The Authority thanks all those affected for their patience and understanding.”
WASA reminds the public that upon restoration of production, it may take up to 24 hours for the pipe-borne water supply to be restored in some areas.
The affected areas include:
Quinam Road, Sennon Village, Railway Road, Mary, George & Victoria, Upper De Gannes, Lower Coora Road, Coora Hernandez Road, Coora Extension, Mendez, Saney Trace, Kay Trace, Prana Home Development, High Street, inclusive of all side streets.
