Police arrested six persons after guns and ammunition were found during a joint raid in Maraval.
According to police reports, on April 12th, officers attached to the Maraval Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Western Division Task Force, and the Canine Unit executed six search warrants following investigations into several robbery reports in the area.
The searches resulted in the discovery of one revolver, one Beretta pistol with a quantity of ammunition, one homemade shotgun, one double barrel magazine with a quantity of ammunition, one orange and silver Torgo brush cutlass, one STIHL brush cutter and one yellow DEWALT chop saw.
Three men were arrested in connection with larceny motor vehicle, two for multiple counts of robbery with violence and firearm offences, and one for robbery and larceny offences. Sgt Joefield, Cpl Pennie and PC Belmar are continuing investigations.
