A Special Reserve Police officer and his female relative were among six people robbed during a home invasion on Sunday night.
The two intruders escaped with several items, including the officer’s TTPS Identification Card and badge, $300 and his cellphone valued at $1,500.
Police said around 8.30 pm, the officer and his relative were visiting friends in Soledad Road, Claxton Bay. Police said the couple was under a shed at the home of the other four victims, including two women, when the bandits entered the premises. One of the intruders was armed with a gun. The bandits stole their cellphones, a laptop, cash, a Sony PlayStation 5, a UWI ID card and a bunch of keys.
The victims’ hands were tied with pieces of cloth and forced to lie on the ground as the house was ransacked.
When the bandits left, the victims untied themselves and called the police.
Ag Cpl Seeth of the St Margaret’s Police Station is investigating.
