Quick response by the police resulted in a stolen vehicle being recovered in La Romain, although the suspects escaped.
The 27-year-old owner parked his beige Nissan Almera in an unsecured garage in front of his Pond Street home, with the key in the ignition around 12.45 am yesterday.
However, around 3.20 am he discovered his car valued $30,000 missing.
Following a report, PC Kanhai and other officers of the San Fernando CID, Southern Division Task Force and Crime Patrol units intercepted the car in the area.
The two occupants, however, quickly exited and eluded the officers at the corner of Church and Gail Streets.
Investigations are ongoing.
