A teenage busi­ness­man was ar­rest­ed on Thurs­day, af­ter of­fi­cers searched his West­moor­ings home and re­cov­ered two firearms and a quan­ti­ty of am­mu­ni­tion.

The 19-year-old was held fol­low­ing a po­lice ex­er­cise be­tween 1 am and 9 am.

The ex­er­cise was con­duct­ed in ac­cor­dance with the Emer­gency Pow­ers Reg­u­la­tions 2026 by of­fi­cers of the West­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force.

Re­ports in­di­cate that of­fi­cers went to the home of the sus­pect at Buc­ca­neer Dri­ve, West­moor­ings, where a search of the bed­room was con­duct­ed, and a Glock 19 pis­tol, with a se­lec­tor af­fixed, along with two mag­a­zines and 15 rounds of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion were found on a shelf in the walk-in clos­et.

Of­fi­cers al­so searched the pock­et of a jack­et hang­ing in the clos­et and dis­cov­ered a Smith & Wes­son pis­tol, along with two mag­a­zines and 23 rounds of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion.

A white San­ta Claus stat­ue in the bed­room was al­so searched, and 72 rounds of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion were found in a bag draped around its hand.

Fol­low­ing the search at the house, of­fi­cers went to a quar­ry at Sil­i­ca Road, Waller­field, which is co-owned by the sus­pect and his moth­er, and found 90 rounds of 5.56mm am­mu­ni­tion hid­den in­side a fil­ing cab­i­net in the of­fice.

A sec­ond quar­ry at Tu­rure Road, Guaico, which is al­so owned by the sus­pect and his moth­er, was searched but noth­ing il­le­gal was found.
