A teenage student who climbed on top of a walkover near Tumpuna Road, La Horquetta has safely come down.

The 17-year-old boy made his way to the top of the walkover this morning and sat on top of the wire covering as traffic passed below.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to ensure that the boy was not met with serious injury or death from a fall.

His friend eventually climbed up next to him and after the two spoke for a while, the boy came down.

He was then taken for a medical examination.
