With roughly two more weeks before the State of Emergency comes to an end, the Homeland Security Minister issued ten more detention orders for the year.
The orders that were gazetted between January 13 and 15 also saw the revocation of a detention order for businessman Danny Guerra, who was accused of plotting to murder a government minister.
The orders for the ten men were signed by the Homeland Security Minister between December and January.
Those ordered to be detained were: Elijah “Stickman” Fernandez, Anthony Prince, Kelloy Koon Koon, Terrell Brathwaite, Emmanuel “E-Man”/“Mad” Walcott, Josiah “Bobby Six” Murphy, Andy Peruza, Darrel “One-Eye” Murrien, Omarley “Zoogie” Nurse, and Marley “Stinky” Nurse.
Fernandez is the lone affiliate with the “Six Gang,” while Prince, Peruza, Murrien, “Zoogie,” and “Stinky” are also alleged to be affiliated with the “Seven Gang.” Peruza is claimed to be a purchaser and re-distributor of a large-scale motor vehicle larceny ring. Murrien is an alleged enforcer of the gang, while “Zoogie” is a principal enforcer and “Stinky” is a leader within the “Seven Gang.”
Two men were not identified as being associated with any specified gang.
The alleged gangsters are all said to have access to their gang’s cache of weapons, and their detentions are deemed necessary to prevent them from engaging in reprisal killings in public spaces. —JENSEN LA VENDE
