A male THA employee and his girlfriend were held and charged for the possession of a firearm.
The discovery was made at a house located at Riseland Trace, Carnbee on Thursday.
The joint exercise was conducted by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU)- Tobago Sub-Office and the Tobago Divisional Task Force.
Guardian Media understands that one Smith and Wesson pistol was found in the bathroom of the house. The serial number was also filed off.
The man 27, is an employee for the Division of Agriculture, under the Tobago House of Assembly, while his girlfriend 21, of Orange Hill Road, Bethel, is an employee of D&D Jewelers.
They were both arrested.
This is the first firearm found in Tobago for 2020.
Investigations are continuing.
