Of­fi­cers at­tached to the North­ern and North Cen­tral Di­vi­sions ar­rest­ed three sus­pects and seized quan­ti­ties of il­le­gal nar­cotics dur­ing crime erad­i­ca­tion ex­er­cis­es on Wednes­day.

The Po­lice Ser­vice says a mo­bile pa­trol was con­duct­ed be­tween the hours of 2 pm and 5 pm. Dur­ing the ex­er­cise, of­fi­cers re­ceived in­for­ma­tion of a male sus­pect and pro­ceed­ed to Chotoo Road, Aranguez. While there, they ob­served the sus­pect hold­ing two black plas­tic bags while walk­ing along the same street.

A search was con­duct­ed, and of­fi­cers found and seized the two black plas­tic bags, as well as 15 black and white box­es each con­tain­ing a black con­struc­tion back-strap con­tain­ing co­caine. The drug weighed 610.7 grams and has an es­ti­mat­ed street val­ue of $851,000.

The man was ar­rest­ed.

Al­so, dur­ing an­oth­er ex­er­cise con­duct­ed in the Arou­ca and St Joseph Polic­ing Dis­tricts, of­fi­cers ar­rest­ed two sus­pects—a 29-year-old from First Street, St Joseph, rel­a­tive to en­quires, and a 23-year-old man from Tacarigua for the of­fences of pos­ses­sion of co­caine for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing and re­sist­ing ar­rest.
